Oscar: Former Chelsea midfielder Oscar looks set to face a disciplinary hearing over his involvement in a brawl that marred his Shanghai SIPG side’s 1-1 draw with Guangzhou R&F in the Chinese Super League at the weekend. Chinese media reported yesterday that Oscar and three other players involved in the altercation would have their case heard by the Chinese FA this week after the disciplinary committee receiving the referee’s report.

Baldock: Brighton forward Sam Baldock has signed a new three-year deal that will keep him at the Premier League club until the end of the 2019-20 season, the club announced. The 28-year-old has made more than 80 appearances for Brighton since joining in 2014.

Mboula: Monaco have completed the signing of 18-year-old Barcelona winger Jordi Mboula on a five-year deal. Mboula, who has featured for Spain’s age-group sides, garnered attention earlier this season following a stunning solo goal in a UEFA Youth League game against Borussia Dortmund.

Di Maria: Former Manchester United winger Angel Di Maria has been given a one-year prison sentence and fined €2 million after pleading guilty to two counts of tax fraud in Spain. The Argentinian, who now plays for PSG, is unlikely to spend any time behind bars though – most sentences under two years in Spain are suspended for first-time offenders.
