GRECH. On June 14, in Gozo, PHILIP, MBE, aged 89, passed away peacefully. He will be sadly missed by his only daughter Lisa Grech, his adored grandchildren Oliver and Lola, his brother Frank and his wife Aida, Lisa’s mother Jennifer, his nephews Chris, Nicky, Mark, Philip, Kenneth, Adrian and nieces Moira, Vanessa, Suzanne, Sonja and Sandra, other relatives and friends. The funeral will be held at Stella Maris church, Sliema, on Wednesday, June 21, at 2pm followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Inspire Foundation Malta will be appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

GRECH. On Sunday, June 18, at her residence, LICIA, née Cauchi, widow of Dr Joseph Louis, aged 89, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Catholic Church. She leaves to mourn her irreparable loss her children and their respective spouses and partners Mario and Lydia, Karl and Alison, Henri and Jacqueline, Mariella and John Abela, Jan and Hazel, and Nadya and Keith Camilleri, her treasured grandchildren Yana, Zoe, Jacques, Ben, Zack, Nicole, Michelle, Aiden, Liam, Rebecca, Daniel, Kim, Yasmine, Luke and Michael, her beloved brother Jean and his wife Frida, her in-laws, nephews and nieces, relatives and friends, especially her devoted nephew and physician Dr Jean Pierre Cauchi and her dedicated carer Connie. Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated tomorrow, Tuesday, June 20 at 2pm at Our Lady of Mount Carmel parish church, Balluta, followed by interment in the family chapel at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Ursuline Sisters of St Angela Merici will be appreciated. May the Lord grant her eternal rest.

RIPARD. MARIE, nèe Tortell, aged 84, widow of Kit, passed away peacefully at Mater Dei Hospital comforted by the rites of Holy Church. Her struggle against serious illness ended on June 15. An irreplaceable woman who spent her life in self-sacrifice looking after her children and their families, her birth family and innumerable others. Few women can hope to match her kindness and, fewer still, her humility. Mourning her loss are her sons Nicholas, Christopher, Timothy, Edward, Michael and Paul, their respective spouses and partners, her 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, her siblings Augustus (Gugu), Peter, Philip, Carmen, Josephine, her in-laws, extended family, her many friends and acquaintances. The funeral cortege leaves Mater Dei Hospital today, June 19, at 12.30pm for Jesus of Nazareth parish church, Sliema, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 1pm followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Deaf People’s Association will be appreciated. Thank you Mum.

SALIBA. On June 18, at the Holy Family Home Residence, Naxxar, MARY of Gżira, widow of Joseph C. Saliba, aged 91, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Stephen and wife Claire, Reuben and wife Pauline and her grandsons Kevin, Kurt, Justin, and his girlfriend Francesca, and Ryan, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves the Holy Family Home Residence, Naxxar, tomorrow, Tuesday, June 20 at 10.30am for the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery chapel where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 11am, followed by interment in the family grave. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi will be appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
