These are the leading stories in today's local newspapers.

The Times of Malta leads with a report that the European Commission is pushing for financial intermediaries to be obliged to report offshore set-ups they create for their clients.

In a secondary story, the paper reports that although mobile phone roaming charges have been removed across the EU, users should read the fine print.

The Malta Independent writes that PN deputy leader Beppe Fenech Adami will not contest any party leadership post and that the PN is irritated that they have not yet received a copy of a marriage equality bill to debated in parliament next week.

L-Orizzont writes 1,717 people used subsidised flight arrangements to come to Malta and vote during the June 3 general election. The paper also confirms that Edward Scicluna, Helena Dalli and Chris Fearne are expected to submit their nominations to become PL deputy leader.

In-Nazzjon reports that a Gozo-based private company is turning down work orders because it lost several workers to the public sector in the run-up to the general election.
