Peugeot Sport and Peugeot Citroën Racing Shop announced that the first customer Peugeot 308 Racing Cup has been delivered to German team Autohaus Nett Motorsport.

Order books for the Peugeot 308 Racing Cup opened on October 30, 2016, immediately after the TCR Benelux meeting at Mettet, Belgium, where Peugeot Sport’s latest racer gave a foretaste of its ability. Twenty-five orders have since been taken to date to ensure a bright start to the 308 Racing Cup’s career.

The delivery of the first customer 308 Racing Cup on February 8 kicked off the programme’s sporting phase. In addition to being the star of its own one-make series in 2017, the 308 Racing Cup will be eligible to compete in a long list of touring car competitions, a formula that is gaining in popularity across the world.

The powerful 308 Racing Cup delivers a remarkable performance package for its price, including an outstanding chassis, carefully-honed aerodynamics and big brakes, yet running costs are lower compared with the RCZ Racing Cup, its predecessor in the Peugeot Sport racing stable.
