Adult learning in Malta was recently celebrated with the Electronic Platform for Adult Learning in Europe (Epale) Awards 2016. The bi-annual cere­mony, organised by the Education Ministry’s  Directorate for Lifelong Learning, gives recognition to adult learning practices that demonstrate the use of creative and inclusive methods. Awards were given under four categories: outstanding community learning initiative; dedicated adult educator; remarkable adult learner; and innovative adult learning project.
