A Mass was held last Sunday at Santa Marija Cemetery chapel, Victoria, in memory of deceased members of the police force. It was celebrated by Mgr Paul Cardona (left), the new chaplain of the police in Gozo, assisted by former chaplain Mgr Emanuel Curmi. Among those attending were (from second left) Inspector Charles Bernard Spiteri, Superintendent Antonello Grech, Assistant Police Commissioner Martin Sammut, representatives of police organisations and relatives. After the Mass, the graves of members of the police were blessed and wreaths placed upon them. The celebration ended with the playing of the Last Post and a minute of silence.
