For the past few weeks, Year One Junior School pupils at St Edward’s College, Cottonera, have been planting and looking after turnips with the help the school gardener.

The initiative, which forms part of the school’s hands-on policy, especially with regard to science, is being extended to pupils in other year groups who will be planting onions, potatoes and other vegetables.
