Presentations at European Marine Biology Symposium

Prof. Alan Deidun from the Department of Geosciences of the University’s Faculty of Science recently took part in the week-long 51st European Marine Biology Symposium in Rhodes.

He delivered a presentation on the expansion of the range of a number of fish species in the Mediterranean. He also presented a poster on the history of sponge fishing in the central Mediterranean.

The symposium is one of the largest European gatherings of marine biologists The main themes discussed included marine bio-invasions, transitional waters, indicators and climate change.
