The heroes of the Euro Stoxx 50 Index

The Euro Stoxx 50 is down 9% year-to-date, however, there are stocks within the index which are rallying like there is no tomorrow. Despite all the negative uncertainty surrounding global growth, the market is now pricing in further expansionary measures which are taken as a positive by investors.

Below are the top ten performers of the Euro Stoxx 50 Index:

ASML Holding N.V. (19.85% up year-to-date)

ASML Holding N.V. develops, produces, and markets semiconductor manufacturing equipment, specifically machines for the production of chips through lithography. The Company services clients worldwide.

Vinci SA (14.80% up year-to-date)

Vinci SA is a global player in concessions and construction with expertise in building, civil, hydraulic, and electrical engineering. The Company offers construction-related specialities, road materials production, as well as finance, management, operations and maintenance of public infrastructure such as motorways, airports, and road and rail infrastructures.

Schneider Electric SE (11.34% up year-to-date)

Schneider Electric SE manufactures power distribution and automation systems. The Company produces circuit breakers, remote installation management equipment, panelboards, programmable logic controllers, industrial control products, detectors, human-machine interfaces, and process controls. Schneider's products are sold various brands.

Danone (10.60% up year-to-date)

Danone SA is a food processing company. The Company produces dairy products, beverages, baby food, and medical nutrition products.

L’Oréal (9.63% up year-to-date)

L’Oréal SA manufactures, markets, and distributes health and beauty aids. The Company produces colorants, styling, and hair care products for professional hairdressers, as well as hair care, cosmetics, and skin care products and perfumes for consumers.

Siemens AG-REG (8.06% up year-to-date)

Siemens AG is an engineering and manufacturing company. The Company focuses on areas of electrification, automation, and digitalization. Siemens also provides engineering solutions in automation and control, power, transportation, and medical diagnosis.

E.ON SE (7.40% up year-to-date)

E.ON SE operates in power generation and gas production businesses. ENEL SPA (5.81% up year-to-date)

Enel SpA is a multinational power company and an integrated operator in the electricity and gas sectors, with a special focus on Europe and Latin America. The Company is active in the generation and distribution of energy from conventional and renewable sources. It also offers integrated solutions for electricity and gas products.
