Australians voting in the Eurovision semi-finals picked Malta and Austria as their two favourite songs, according to SBS. 

But while Ira Losco might Walk on Water, bookmakers reckon it might take an even bigger miracle for her to walk away with the Eurovision crown. 

With tomorrow's Grand Final looming, online betting company Betsson has made Malta the seventh favourite to win the Eurovision. 

Russia - already the bookies' favourite even before this week's semi-finals - has strengthened its position and Sergey Lazarev is now the clear competition front runner. 

The Russian singer has also attracted bookies' attention for an altogether different reason. After he fell from the stage during one of the rehearsals, bookmakers reckon there's a one-in-25 chance of him taking a tumble during tomorrow's big performance. 

Malta has reportedly spared no expense in its bid to win the Eurovision, with sources saying this year's budget could be triple the usual expense. 

But we are not alone: according to the BBC, Russian president Vladimir Putin has whipped out the pocketbook to ensure a Russian victory, with two composers, a vocal coach and Sweden's best backing singers.
