Let me climb out of my hole and think logically.

In a land close by, ruled by Lord Joseph Muscat and his gracious Lady Michelle de henna, they lead by example. And the example always gets a standing ovation.

They hug convicted criminals and appoint them in foreign grounds, applaud and excuse ministers found to have acted wrongly and also applaud and (why not?) hug like a loving bear a super-duped minister who tried, but failed, to open accounts where he could hide his potentially ill-gotten gains far, far from prying and silly eyes.

Now off I go to dig a deeper hole and forget that once, not so long ago, this country was seen by all abroad as a place for good governance.
