Six years after Tui Cruises’ decided to home-port a new brand, Mein Schiff, in Valletta, it has become a household name which, in Malta, is synonymous with superior quality, beautiful itineraries and ultra all-inclusive.

Nicknamed ‘the ultra all-inclusive’ ship, the Mein Schiff offers great quality and value for money and has already attracted over 12,000 Maltese passengers since the first cruise in 2010. Hundreds of Maltese are repeat clients, some of them having sailed on the Mein Schiff every year since 2010.

The ultra all-inclusive formula means that practically everything is included in the basic cruise holiday cost – meals in various restaurants (with food being available in one of the restaurants on a 24-hour basis), free drinks (branded wines, spirits, beers, soft drinks) 24 hours, shore excursions in every port and all taxes and tips.

Typically, on board an ordinary cruise liner a couple will easily spend €200 for a week’s drink package, another €70 on service charge and a minimum of €40 per half-day excursion. All this is already included on the Mein Schiff.

Beyond the luxurious cuisine and lifestyle the Mein Schiff offers on board, there are also two week-long itineraries to choose from – one covers the East Mediterranean, with visits to Mykonos, Athens, Sicily and Bodrum and the other the Adriatic, with visits in Dubrovnik, Corfu, Katakolon (Greece), Kotor and its fjord. Again, excursions are included in the price.
