TimesTalk on Tuesday discussed the situation, shown in recent polls, where a third of the electorate claimed they feel disenfranchised and have no confidence in Malta's two big parties.

Does this mean that the time is right for the creation of a new political party/movement, as is being mulled by some individuals?

History has shown the electorate to rally round the Labour or Nationalist parties come election time, so is the creation of a new party a fruitless exercise?

Presented by Herman Grech and Mark Micallef, the programme's main guests were Salvu Mallia, Godfrey Grima and Frank Portelli.

Watch a repeat of the programme above.
