Le Méridien St Julian’s Hotel & Spa has renewed its agreement with Claude Camilleri for another two years as the hotel’s official curator of the winningboutique hotel award, one of Malta’s leading five-star properties.

“These are exciting times for art in Malta, and Le Méridien’s vision to inspire visitors within its spaces, including warm hospitality and professional acumen, are the perfect recipe to continue seeing their art vision through into 2016. 2015 was amazing. Yet, we are just getting warmed up and expect the New Year to be art-spectacular. We are turning up the notch yet again, and to start off the art season we will commence with the International Art Collective III on February 26, a date to be kept free for all art enthusiasts and art collectors alike,” said Mr Camilleri.

Le Méridien’s general manager Alex Incorvaja said: “The vision behind these art exhibitions is that the brand is all about the creative, open-minded and curious traveller. Culture and art play an important role and we came up with the concept of art exhibitions about 18 months ago. Claude showed me some pieces of art and we were very much intrigued. He understands what we want and what Le Méridien wants, so this is a match made in heaven.”

The yearly calendar will consist of two international art collectives and two duo exhibitions. Artists from overseas and local artists will contribute a diverse palette of mediums, primarily including art on canvas, sculptures, istallations and video art.
