On February 15, at Mater Dei Hospital, Fr EDWARD BUGEJA, O.Carm., of the Mdina Carmelite priory, residing at Dar tal-Kleru, Birkirkara, aged 92, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his irreparable loss his beloved wife Annie, his sons and daughter, Fr Joseph Mercieca, Charles and his wife Denise, Mary Grace and her husband Joseph Scicluna, George and his wife Carmen, John and his wife Jacqueline, his treasured grandchildren Elena and her husband Stefano Di Gabriele, Edward, Maria and her fiancé Daniel Sjåvik, Esther, Chris, David, and Elisa, his great grandchildren Lorenzo and Michele, his brother Emanuel and his family, nephews and nieces among whom Can. George Joseph Frendo, other relatives amongst whom Archbishop Emeritus Joseph Mercieca and Can. John Mercieca, and his many friends. The funeral cortège leaves his residence, 72, Vajringa Street, Victoria, tomorrow at 4.15pm, accompanied by the La Stella Band of which he was a devoted bandsman for 49 years. SCERRI. On February 13, at St Xavier’s College, Sahibganj, India, Fr ANTON SCERRI, SJ, aged 88, went to meet the Risen Lord comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his brethren of the Society of Jesus in the Santal Mission in India and in Malta, his sister Carmelina, his brothers Fr John Scerri, SJ, Frankie and his wife Betty, Br Tommy Scerri, SJ, Louis, Godfrey and his wife Josanne, and Tarcisio, nephews and nieces, as well as many friends and benefactors of the Jesuit Mission in India. May he rest in the peace of the Risen Lord.

SULTANA – JOSEPH GEORGE passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on February 12 at Mater Dei Hospital. Dearly missed and never forgotten by his loving wife Juanita, his children Juanita, Marianna, Catherine and Patrick, Joseph and Rowena, and Andrew and Regina as well as his nine grandchildren and three great-grandsons, all of whom he dearly cherished.
