Architect Roger de Giorgio, a member of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta and the Royal Historical Society, passed away yesterday, aged 93. Born in Milan, Mr De Giorgio studied at the University of Malta and graduated in architecture and civil engineering in 1946.

According to the dictionary of Maltese biographies by Michael J. Schiavone, Mr De Giorgio was a registered architect in the UK since 1964 and was partner in several architectural firms and actively involved in numerous institutions.

He was chairman of the board of governors of MCAST between 1969 and 1970 and member of the council of the University of Malta between 1969 and 1971.

His funeral will take place on Monday afternoon at Tal-Ibraġ parish church.
