Scheduit has introduced a points-based system that makes connecting with professionals on its social networking platform more enjoyable and engaging.
The company was set up last year and has developed a web and mobile app that uses artificial intelligence to help match users with other compatible professionals in the vicinity. The purpose is to make business networking more efficient and meaningful.
Scheduit was initially launched at EnterConf in Belfast last June and over the past few months the network has grown its user base to almost 2,000 members worldwide, including local and international entrepreneurs, journalists, investors and employees from companies like Facebook, CNN and Google.
Scheduit founder Abdalla Kablan said: “Following the recent algorithm and gamification developments, both in our app and in the technology industry in general, we see ourselves as being in the early stages of a paradigm shift in the business community.” He said that in future, networking will no longer be so dependent on chance as it is today. Rather, business matchmaking will be intelligent, and software will tell people who they should be networking with in order to grow their business, or to further their careers.
The company was recently represented at the Web Summit in Dublin, an opportunity that only a very limited number of start-ups were given.
As a result, the company is now in talks with several partners and investors to bring in more funding and resources, particularly to further accelerate growth.
