More than 1,500 people have visited this year’s Malta Comic Con, now in its seventh edition.
Started by a group of five friends, the convention has gained popularity over the past few years and has had to move from its former home in St James Cavalier to the Magazino Hall at the Valletta Waterfront, which can host a larger number of participants and patrons.
For the first time, the event included the participation of Tony Dyson, the man who built R2-D2 for Star Wars.
Daniela Attard - one of the very first participants of the Malta Comic Con, and who is now based in London where she works for Cartoon Network - is also at the convention.
