Tuesday's edition of TimesTalk discussed the results of a recent census which found that half of unemployed Maltese aged between 16 and 24 do not see a future for themselves.

Asked why they chose to be idle, half the respondents replied that they did not care.

What has brought about this situation? Is it the education system? Do social problems exacerbate the issue? Will such youngsters always be social outcasts or can they be re-integrated?
