A feed-in tariff of €0.15c per KWh generated has been set for structurally integrated photovoltaic panel systems.

The Regulator for energy said these include systems substituting other components replacing any glass, concrete or any other component in the facade, bus shelters and greenhouses. The scheme has a capacity allocation limit of 4MWp.

PV capacity nation wide is expected to reach 60MWp by the end of this year. This will further contribute to Malta reaching its 2020 target of 10%, after having achieved 5% this year, the Regulator said.
