The joint venture company that will develop the Enemalta/Shanghai Electric wind farm project in Montenegro is set to be established in the coming weeks, the government said.

It said in a statement that at a meeting held in Podgorica, the economy ministers of Montenegro and Malta Vladimir Kavaric and Konrad Mizzi discussed cooperation between the two countries in the energy field.

On September 3, the government of Montenegro approved  the transfer of the lease to the land where the 46 Megawatt wind farm will developed.

Construction permits have already been approved and the transfer of the land lease will lead to further project mobilisation.

The government said further information will be provided once all processes are finalised.
