Senglea residents have teamed up to form an association to raise awareness about residents’ rights and act as a pressure group within the locality. The association was formally launched yesterday at the Senglea watchtower known as Gardjola.

The association will be holding face to face meetings with all local public and private entities and set up mechanisms that would enable effective public participation when needed.

It will be informing residents of existing laws and police codes to make them aware of their rights, such as those not allowing load noise to cause them nuisance.

The association will also look into international laws that Malta was party to, such as the Aarhus convention, and point out were these where not being adhered to.

To enrol, residents should contact Henry Hall on henry@senglea-residents-association.com .
