At long last the Chapel of Bones situated near the Mediterranean Conference Centre in Valletta has been given its much deserved attention after so many years of neglect and abandon.

The area has finally been subjected to a general clean-up much to the enjoyment and satisfaction of all those who frequent the area, locals and tourists alike. For a number of years, it has been literally downgraded to a full blown rubbish dump.

Such a deprived site used to sadden me so much especially when over the years I used to see thousands of tourists visiting this popular part of our beautiful and beloved city with this depressing spot in full view.

I hope and pray that the authorities concerned will continue to keep it clean and tidy as itrightly deserves.

A sign with some historical background to complement the newly transformed site would be very much in order.
