The Red Bull King of the Rock Malta Qualifying stage has reached a decisive phase after the first phase of the singles tournament was completed in Bugibba, earlier this week.

This is the second edition of the Red Bull King of the Rock qualifiers in Malta.

The knock-out format has reduced the list of contenders to eight as the competition featured players from the Malta national team and regular street players.

The ones who made it to the quarter-finals are David Bugeja, Javier Valderrey Pulido, Jan Stupka, Jean Paul Schembri, Ryan Carabott, Milos Damjanovic, Nicolas Gutierrez and Aki Kec-hagias.

The Finals will be played at the Bognor Sports Complex, Bugibba, today at 8pm.

The winning player will represent the country at the World Finals in Istanbul next month.
