Maltese politicians are constantly firing accusations at their rivals, claiming shortcomings in transparency and accountability. Are the claims made merely to score political points? Do constant accusations create walls between the electorate and the political class?

Controversies like the Zonqor university investment and the Mater Dei hospital concrete, as well as cases involving the likes of Giovanna Debono, John Dalli and Joe Grima, are prompting many to lose faith in our politicians and institutions.

What do you think? Is it impossible to have complete transparency and accountability in politics?

Presented by Times of Malta’s head of media Herman Grech and chief reporter Mark Micallef, Times Talk is live on TVM on Tuesday at 6.45pm.
