Marsaxlokk has made it into a list of Europe’s top undiscovered beauty spots.

Blogger @21andabroad, an anonymous British man in his early 20s, listed the fishing village in his top 10 posts on his website.

The tourist-friendly destination was in seventh place on the personal list.

He wrote: “On the southern tip of the southernmost country of Europe, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, is the ever-difficult to pronounce fishing village of Marsaxlokk.

“Golden-coloured buildings and traditional fishing boats brighten up the rare dark days of Malta.

“Markets regularly line the shore where you can pick up traditional Maltese products as well as the usual goods.

“Marsaxlokk is a village unspoiled by hotels and with only 3,500 people, it consists only of houses, bars and stores, giving it a unique, secluded feel.”
