Homes with a view

The phrase ‘a room with a view’ is something of an understatement for these luxurious properties. We bring you the cream of the world’s crop.

There are views... and then there are incredible panoramas, the likes of which typically require a six-figure bank balance to enjoy. From the majestic loneliess of the ocean to the hubbub of a whole city; from the charms of a Swiss lake to dramatic waterfalls and untarnished nature, these homes take spectacular to a whole, new level.

This ‘village’ is built in such a way as to discourage ideas of venturing away from base. Let’s face it, if you had access to infinity pool, panoramic views and natural waterfalls – all of which are complemented by high-end luxury on the inside – would you ever want to leave?

House Lombardo, Vernate, Switzerland

The celebrated Philipp Architekten was the creative brains behind House Lombardo, which is perched right on the lakeside for optimum panoramic views. The design is as minimalistic as they come, to minimise interference on the natural landscape. Indoors, the decor is the epitome of elegance, with high-end amenities and bespoke furniture.
