The government and opposition this afternoon agreed on the programme of business of parliament after disagreements earlier this week and a warning by the prime minister this morning that if necessary, parliament would also meet in August.

The whips of the two sides said the House will tomorrow morning conclude the second reading debate on a bill to transform Enemalta Corporation into a plc.

The House will then meet on Monday evening to start the debate on the Party Financing Bill. The debate, however, will not be concluded and will be continued after the summer recess.

The House will also meet on Friday July 25 for the final vote on the law on Enemalta. Parliament will then rise for the summer.
