Works carried out in January on the wooden decking of the breakwater bridge at the entrance to the Grand Harbour barely lasted two months. Public access has again been halted after part of the metal railing was damaged, as well as the same wooden decking. Inaugurated in July 2012, the bridge replaced an older structure that had been totally destroyed at the height of World War II in 1941.
