Air Malta will be wet-leasing two 168-seater Boeing 737-400 aircraft on Sunday and Monday. The aircraft will join the airline’s fleet to operate seven return flights.

These flights were scheduled to be operated by the airline’s aircraft which are currently undergoing preventive maintenance.

Air Malta’s commercial director Philip Saunders said Air Malta remained one of Europe’s top airlines in terms of reliability.

"We strive to operate every scheduled flight and put passenger convenience first. This weekend is a busy bank holiday period and this decision underlines our commitment to passengers.”
