The scheme to incentivise vehicle owners to convert their vehicle to autogas is being extended, Transport Malta said this morning.

The measure is aimed at reducing further emissions from road traffic.

€200 will be given upon the conversion to autogas of a motor vehicle used for private purposes, subject to a number of conditions.

The scheme closes on December 31 or earlier if the maximum of 750 claims is reached.

Anyone who converted their vehicle to autogas last year may still apply.

Applications are available from the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Unit, Hornsworks Ditch, Floriana or from here.
