Chiswick House School alumnus Emma Ripard and a friend of hers, Loran Xuereb, both of whom are deaf, recently visited the school to share their experience with pupils as well as to show them how to communicate with hearing-impaired people and teach them some basic Maltese sign language.

The activity was part of this year’s Inclusion Week, a series of workshops, hands-on activities and interaction with guest speakers organised by the school’s Alternative Learning Programme for Levels 1 to 5 at Chiswick House School to encourage the pupils to think of and have greater respect for the differences among people.

Ms Ripard, who works as a personal trainer, also coordinated some fun sports and games during her visit.
