Malta champion driver Noel Baldacchino won the prestigious Prix de Rencontres Internationales race which was held at the Vincennes racetrack in Paris, yesterday.

The race, which attracts some of the top drivers in circulation, is held annually. The distance covered was 2,100 metres.

Baldacchino set off from the no.2 position behind the autostart with French trotter Puy de Sancy under his charge.

Renowned driver Pierre Vercruysse, the 2013 World Championship winner, was among the participants.

The Frenchman placed third with Prieure.

The runner-up at the Prix de Rencontres Internationales was Norway’s Hans Thol-fsen with Quassia du bon Air.
