The Opposition seemed to be working with a company which did not win the contract to administer the Individual Investor Programme and in which a Nationalist MP had a personal interest, the Government said.

It said in a statement this evening that this agenda was continuing to be exposed from the fact that a court case by the company was presented by another Nationalist candidate.

The Opposition leader, the Government said, had a lot to answer about the possibility of a conflict of interest.

He also had to answer about the delaying strategy the Opposition was trying to implement at the hands of a company that was not selected and with which a Nationalist MP was associated.

This same company managed similar programmes in other countries and had an interest to delay the Maltese programme as much as possible.

There was a clear suspicion that the Nationalist Party was working with this company. However, the Government remained committed to implement its plan for the benefit of the country and Maltese families and businesses, it said.
