A 200-year-old house in Żabbar has been transformed into a creepy, spine-chilling, haunted dungeon designed to give heart-stopping frights at every corner.

Running into the fourth edition, Dar il-Waħx, or house of horror, will be full of ghouls, demons, twisted scenes and lifelike mummies. Organised by Curtain Raiser, the spooky walk-through will be held at the former police station in the heart of Żabbar.

Visitors to the eerie house can also enjoy one of the 36 local and international films displayed during the Malta Horror Filmfest.

Dar il-Waħx is just one in a series of activities organised in the locality to mark Halloween as St James Square, right in front of St James Hospital, will be turned into Malta’s first outdoor Halloween village tomorrow night. Disney villains will be running around together with crazy scientific experiments, puppet shows, quest hunts and bouncy castles.

Children are invited to dress up for the occasion.

Also, Notre Dame theatre will host a satirical show by a group of youths called Ta’ Ġewwa Jfallu.

Dar il-Waħx starts tonight and will run through Sunday.
