A €500,000 viticulture and enology research centre was inaugurated in Buskett today by Rural Affairs Minister George Pullicino and Parliamentary Assistant Philip Mifsud.

The centre has been co-financed by the inter-regional Pro-Med Italia/Malta programme and the EU.

The minister spoke about the need for Maltese wine to be given more recognition and appealed to Maltese and Gozitan consumers to opt for a local product.
