Red Electrick won the Best Song and the Best Band awards in the 17th edition of the Malta Music Awards held yesterday at the MFCC in Ta’ Qali.

The Awards recognised the work of various artistes in the music industry in the past months, including young Gaia Cauchi who was a regular on Rai Uno’s Ti Lascio una Canzone as well as being a winner in the last edition of Junior Sanremo.

One of the main attractions for the night was international artiste Peter Andre, who performed three numbers. Local performers included  Gianluca Bezzina who, the previous night, won the Malta Eurovision Song Contest. 

The Malta Music Awards will be broadcast this Saturday on TVM.

Best Album The Traveller-Tribali

Best Video - What I’d give – Ira Losco

Best Solo Artist - Brooke

Best Band- Red Electrick

Best New Artist Award - Stalko

Best Metal Band - Beheaded

Best Hip Hop/ Rnb - Hooligan

Career recognition Award - Duo Blank

International Achievement Award -Gaia Cauchi

Youth Agency Award -  Ylenia Vella
