Labour leader Joseph Muscat was given a hero’s welcome when he visited the Junior College yesterday morning, stopping to sign autographs on his new biography.

Students chanted “Joseph, Joseph” and “Tagħna Lkoll” as he toured the premises, following him through tight corridors to snap photographs on their mobile phones.

At one point, Dr Muscat told students to “calm down” and remember they were at school.

He toured the science and computer labs as well as the library.
