The police found sachets of cocaine in trophies stored in a display cabinet at a flat owned by an alleged drug trafficker, a court heard yesterday.

The accused, Glenn Bezzina, 30, of Valletta, was first picked up by the police at a Paceville night club with some 20 ecstasy pills on March 7, 2010. A search was then conducted on his flat.

Police Sergeant Adrian Sciberras testified that the police seized sachets of drugs stuffed into trophies in a display cabinet.

Mr Bezzina is currently on remand in prison.

The case continues.
