U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is recovering from a concussion.

A State Department spokesman said the former First Lady became dehydrated after suffering from a stomach virus. She then fainted and sustained the concussion.

Clinton is recovering at home - and will be monitored regularly by her doctors.

She became sick with a stomach virus a week ago - which forced her to cancel a trip to the Middle East and North Africa.
