To celebrate the love for food and wine and its collection of Grand Maitre, Marsovin, in collaboration with de Mondion Restaurant at The Xara Palace Relais & Chateaux will be hosting a gastronomical experience prepared by executive chef Kevin Bonello and his team.

They put together a signature menu which starts with lobster mousse on dill scone with coconut jelly and ends with Valhrona bitter chocolate coulant; thyme roasted peach and an orange and praline ice-cream.

The Grand Maitre Wines come from the private single estate, Ghajn Rihana, with the fruit of each vintage being dedicated to one of the noble Grand Masters of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta.

The blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc generally produces very concentrated, full bodied wines of an intense, fruity, aromatic character. The aromas are of intense concentration of a black fruit character showing ripe, integrated, astringent tannins with an animal complexity of tar and leather combined with an oaky spicy character of cinnamon and liquorice. This wine can age further and is also a collector’s item reaching high prices.

The Grand Maitre Gastronomy Experience is being held tomorrow and on Saturday, starting with pre-dinner drink at 8pm.
