Divorcees remarry for organ donation

It's the ultimate act of sacrifice... a woman in China underwent two rounds of surgery to donate part of her liver.

The recipient? Her former ex-husband.

Su Dan and Tian Xinding had been married for 10 years but divorced over issues relating to their business.

Two months after their split was finalized, Tian was diagnosed with liver cancer.

Facing a long donor waiting list, Su- who was a match, offered to donate a part of her liver.

But in China, organ transplants between a couple are only approved if the pair are married. So that's what they did...Again.

After renewing their vows, the couple underwent a successful 10 hour surgery.
