Home of applied common sense is a virtual bridge between academia and industry that offers users the opportunity to access industry experts and tap into their experience.

The site brings together educational tools and e-learning material – the concept was derived from more than 25 years of local and international in-practice experience.

Quickfocus’s knowledge base, QuickPM, is an applied knowledge network that is ideal for students, job seekers, novices and practitioners. It provides users with a virtual and agile business mentor. Apart from the professional tool, which is on sale at €29.95, there is also a free version called QuickPM Lite.

The philosophy behind QuickPM is based on the basic formula that people and processes result in product. There are many agile methods that propose processes to promote ways to reduce time to market, reduce cost, increase productivity and improve quality.

QuickPM is not only about agility. While it focuses on the process, QuickPM’s main focus is on people and puts forward a message to influence people to look at good as the enemy of great.

Given our educational system and opportunities in the job market, people are really good. What people do not realise is that being really good hinders them from being great as they easily settle in their comfort zone, become resistant to change and deprive themselves from self-development.

QuickPM is an online tool that helps people adopt a positive attitude and embark on the journey from being good to becoming great.

Besides the rich content, through QuickPM, users can access QuickDynamites (webinars with industry experts), QuickContribute (knowledge and experience directly from the industry experts), QuickMeetings (one-to-one meetings with industry experts), QuickTips (regular tips and ideas from the QuickTeam), QuickContent (users are informed about content updates) and much more.

Last month, 6PM launched the QuickCompetition initiative. This will last for 18 months and allows participants to learn while earning rewards such as a new iPad, an Acer One Happy Netbook, trips abroad and much more.

At the end of the 18-month programme, 6PM will also be rewarding the overall winner with a postgraduate scholarship in collaboration with Laureate International University as well as an opportunity to work at 6PM in Malta, London or Macedonia.
