Carmel Busuttil will be forming part of the Melita FC technical staff after reaching an agreement with the club following clearance given by the MFA. He will be assisting Martin Gregory in guiding the amateurs through their first-ever season in the Premier Division.

Club Secretary Matthew Naudi said that Busuttil's unprecedented experience as a player and a coach would certainly help this young side in maintaining their Premier Division status.

During the upcoming season he will also be offering his technical assistance to the club's 400 children who form part of the Melita nursery in collaboration with Head Coach Franco Agius.

Club President Paul Zammit said that work is at an advanced stage in setting up the Melita FC Football School which will be run by Busu himself. The aim of the school , which is to run parallel yet independently from the nursery, is to offer specialised training to any children of all ages.

In the meantime Melita FC yesterday beat Msida St Joseph 1-0 in the second day of the 'Gammari Muscat' Mosta Tournament . On Monday the Amateurs drew 1-1 against premier side Qormi FC in the same tournament.
