Daniel Bogdanovic yesterday agreed to join League One outfit Notts County on loan until the end of the season.

With the period for loan moves in the Football League closing today, the Malta striker stepped up his efforts in recent days to leave Blackpool in search of regular football.

Bogdanovic, 31, signed for Blackpool last summer after one season with Sheffield United but found it hard to force his way into the plans of manager Ian Holloway.

In January, Bogdanovic, whose profile in English football had risen considerably after a successful spell with Barnsley a few years back, had a one-month loan stint with Rochdale before heading back to Blackpool.

Bogdanovic, who helped Malta beat Liechtenstein 2-1 in a friendly last month, is now hopeful of relaunching his career with play-offs seekers Notts County who this week also secured the signing of Dele Adebola on a short-term loan deal.
