The Rifle and Pistol Shooting Club have just organised their last events of the season at the Victoria Ranges and under the auspices of the Malta Shooting Sport Federation.

This was the first kind of Rim Fire/Centre Fire pistol champion-ship organised on our shores by the club. In all, seven events were held along the season and Anthony Mifsud was declared overall winner after topping the standings in both categories.

In the Rim Fire Cal.22LR, Mifsud accumulated 2,093 points to finish ahead of Charles Wallbank, 2,001, and Patrick Azzopardi, 1,891.

In Centre Fire, contested by a significant number of competitors most with Pistol or Revolvers in Cal.32 and .38WC, Mifsud led from the first match and won the category with 2,176 points.

Azzopardi, who showed signi-ficant progress as the competition evolved, was second with 1,958 points while Wallbank slipped to third on 1,945 after lowering his score in the last two events of the championship.
