On behalf of my family, I wish to thank the captain of the Armed Forces’ patrol boat P23 and his crew for the assistance they gave us when we found ourselves in difficulties at sea on the evening of August 28, in Marsascala.

Despite the rough seas, coupled with a dead-slow moving boat handicapped by a plastic bag caught by the propeller, the escort they provided made us feel safe during an otherwise agonising three-hour trip, and confident that we would make port safely.

Thanks also go to the port personnel for quickly providing us with the Armed Forces contact number so they did not waste time to locate us and started with the escort operation straight away.

I urge them to keep up the good work, which I am sure is greatly appreciated by all.
