The Malta at War Museum in Vittoriosa is to be renovated by Fondazzjoni Wirt Artna as part of the Re.Vi.Ve (Renewed Visitor Venues) Project, co-financed by the European Union.

This renovation entails the extension of the museum housed at Couvre Porte in Vittoriosa.

It will be re-organised into a walk-through gallery comprising nine rooms, allowing for more items to be displayed. This new museum will include a time-line based exhibition outlining all the aspects of daily life in wartime Malta.

The facilities will further enhance the attractiveness of the tourism zone around the Malta at War Museum.

Project manager Mario Farrugia gave a short presentation of the Vittoriosa part of the Re.Vi.Ve. Project. A walk around the premises followed in order to show the renovation works that will star soon.

Other renovating works being conducted by the FWA are at the Saluting Battery and the Lascaris War Rooms Heritage Park in Valletta.
