Go Low is the latest single from locally-based international duo Dimal and Maddee.

Dimal is a Russian rap artist and songwriter while singer-songwriter Maddee is British. They each have their own separate music careers, but being both based here gave them the opportunity to work together.

The first fruit of their collaboration was the single Shake It, which received a lot of radio airplay and occupied a place in Malta’s Top 10 chart for several weeks.

Further to releasing another single, She’s The Party last year, the duo also won the Best Hip Hop/R ’n’ B Artist award at the 2010 Malta Music Awards. They are currently busy working on an album together, while forging ahead on their own projects.

Dimal will soon be releasing a new single, Hell Yeah, which, like his debut solo release I C U Like Me, is taken from his forthcoming EP Mista International.

His first single was produced by Ilya Ferre and received heavy rotation on the local airwaves, as well as being featured on Ukraine’s most popular hiphop website, auguring well for the release of his EP.

Maddee’s presence on the local scene has been established not only through her musical output but also through her work as creative director of the Aiming 4 Fame organisation.

She has worked extensively within the UK music scene, working with Eric Robinson (S Express), Helene Muddiman (Spice Girls), Gil Scott-Heron and Steve Hillier (Dubstar), and performing (as Darshan) with Hazel O’Connor besides supporting Finlay Quaye and Sony chart act Bedlam-A-Go-Go on UK tours.
