Lazio president Claudio Lotito has been banned from the club’s Stadio Olimpico for two months for having insulted the president and directors of the Italian Olympic Committee (CONI).

In June, the outspoken Lotito accused Gianni Petrucci and CONI of extortion over the price Lazio have to pay to rent the stadium – two million euros.

He was also fined €30,000 with Lazio given a further 50,000-euro penalty.

The sanction was handed down by the national sporting disciplinary commission.
